Thank you to everyone for the fantastic support we've received over the past year. It's been a tough time for all - and a bit of a rollercoaster ride for everyone involved in keeping alive our dream for the revival of the Jenks as a community-owned pub and bistro. But we're not downhearted and we've got lots of great ideas to reinvigorate our campaign - and have some fun doing it!
As we we’ve already announced, we will be reapplying for THE WHOLE of the Henry Jenkins to be put back as an Asset of Community Value. This follows Harrogate Borough Council’s disappointing decision not to relist the eastern part of the pub. Our legal advisers have been through HBC’s report justifying their decision and found numerous inconsistencies and contradictions.
We're also looking at various other positive initiatves - we're convinced the case for reopening the Jenks as a community-owned pub is stronger now than ever. We will keep you in touch as and when things develop. Watch this space!
