CORONA VIRUS SUPPORT

Kirkby Malzeard, Laverton and Dallowgill residents are ready and willing to step up and support others who might be unable or worried about going out and about at the moment, due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.

If you would like to volunteer and would be prepared for your phone number to be on a telephone contact list that would be distributed to people’s homes, please register on this website and tick the box: CORONA SUPPORT.
Your e-mail will then be added to a group and you will be contacted to establish the sort of help you could offer and to request your phone number.

If you might need some support or if you are interested in finding out about how the community is preparing for all of the challenges that face us because of the corona virus, please also register  for regular updates.

If you have already registered on the Community Website and would like to extend the groups you have joined to include the CORONA SUPPORT group, please LOGIN, click on USER DETAILS and then tick and UPDATE the groups you would like to join.

Support might be needed because of underlying health conditions, age or because people are choosing to self-isolate in order to protect others.

The Parish Council, in conjunction with the Community Website, is compiling a list of volunteers who would be available for:
  • Telephone support for those who are worried
  • Collecting and delivering prescriptions
  • Shopping
  • Running errands
We are not promoting home visits, especially if individuals are self-isolating or if people are elderly or have underlying health conditions.
