Defibrillator in Laverton
11 Jul 2021
The Parish Council has now installed a smart new defibrillator in the disused telephone box in Laverton.
This was paid for by a generous donation by a resident in memory of her husband from funds collected at his funeral. The family will install a commemorative plaque in due course.
If you need to use the Defib you must always also phone 999 for emergency support.
The Defib is linked automatically to the Ambulance Service. The Ambulance Service and the Parish Council will be informed if it used, but this will be after the event.
The Parish Council is in the process of installing defibrillator signs on the outside of the phone box. If you could help with smartening up and repainting the phone box please do let us know. We have the necessary red and gold paint!
Defibrillator training will be organised at the earliest opportunity.
